Just Another Day in The Shuswap

This lake is huge, we traveled 34.7 km and when we looked at the track on the gps is really gave its size some perspective.

A Wet Rainy Wonderful Day

We set out on Saturday for a day kayaking on Shuswap lake. We launched the kayaks at Canoe and headed two hours up the lake fighting a pretty good head wind. After two hours we decided to stop for lunch, light a fire and set out our new geocache just north of the Shuswaps so call nude beach. And then the rain hit, amazing torrential downpour, I felt like I was back at home on the coast and that made me smile. I huddled up under my rain coat and just enjoyed the light and sound all around me.
