- Welcome to this blog. I'm a British Columbia painter working primarily in acrylics. Inspired by the natural beauty I see around me, I paint the darker, misty, and often-misunderstood places along the Canadian West Coast. My desire is to expose the spirit of the darker places by exaggerations of colour and light. Through my paintings I want the world to see more than just the wet, rainy, damp, coastal environment, but want to expose the darker beauty of what exists there. Water, in all its forms, is the driving force behind life and I'm constantly amazed by it’s power, energy, and influence on the land around it.
